This wedding! Looking back through these pictures literally gives me goosebumps. There was something special about this day- from the colors to the beautiful mountain ranges, from the magical lighting, to getting down on the dance floor. Despite the super high temperatures out in Julian this wedding was a fairytale. From the dress to the florals by A. H. R. Florals I truly felt like I was in some secret garden type novel. And I got to shoot the whole thing with a wonderful second shooter by my side, Bree Steffen.
The day was smooth sailing (a big shoutout to Family Affair Weddings) as the couple said I do at one of the most perfect ceremony location overlooking the mountain peeks of Julian CA. These two got married at Sacred Mountain Julian and it did not disappoint- to call it anything less than sacred would be a sin! Berly Productions captured the entire day beautifully (scroll to the end to watch their sweet sweet video!).
One of my personal favorite parts of the day was Chris and Danni’s private vow reading. Seeing the raw emotions of these two while back to back was one of the sweetest things I’ve been given the opportunity to witness and capture. Sometimes we can get caught up at weddings, but this moment grounded them and gave them an incredibly intimate moment to cherish. A great start to their marriage!
Their portrait session is one of my favorites to date. Danni’s dress from Madi Lane Bridal was filled with little crickets from wandering the fields- but you wouldn’t even know! That golden light reflecting off these two souls made true magic in front of my lens. A truly stunning day!
“I remember waiting patiently to be able to walk down the aisle (we were running late because my grandma was late to the ceremony) and right after I hopped out of the golf cart, I was solely focused on walking down that aisle. I had tunnel vision and probably forgot I had to walk slow, but I was so ready to marry my best friend. I remember feeling complete calmness, everything around me went silent, all of the planning and the anxiety went away and all I saw was him. It was truly a magical moment and I have never felt more love and gratitude to be exactly where I was at that exact moment. It’s such a rare feeling in life when we feel we are meant to be in a place at a specific time on a specific day.
